A dodici anni dall'introduzione della grafia per la lingua somala e di quest'ultima come lingua ufficiale del paese, l'autrice analizza i risultati della politica linguistica adottata e in progressi nel campo dell'istruzione.
In 1984, twelve years after the introduction of an official script for Somali language and its introduction as Somalia official language, the author illustrates the results of the language policy and the improvements in the education sector.
