This paper identifies some difficulties faced by organizations trying to address these needs, including the problems of working with different political entities and groups involved in the conflict. It then looks in detail at one innovative radio-based approach which has been developed for teaching literacy and life skills in Somalia. Nei paesi che escono da un conflitto a lungo termine, l'attenzione è spesso focalizzata sulla ricostruzione del sistema di istruzione primaria e su come riportare i bambini in età scolare e giovani uomini e donne a scuola. Il presente articolo individua le difficoltà incontrate dalle organizzazioni che cercano di rispondere a queste esigenze, tra cui l'interazione con le diverse entità politiche e i gruppi coinvolti nel conflitto.
