Abstract: Reer Jabarti waxay ku filiqsanyihiin xeebta Geeska Afrika, laga billaabo Ras Xaafuun ilaa dhulbaraha. Waxaa loo qaybin karaa laba kooxood oo waa weyn: Digil iyo Hawiye. Afkoodu waa lahjad soomaaliyeed. Macluumaadka (qoraallada laga sameeyey, wixii laga tarjumay iyo qaamuus) waxay ka soo jeedaan hawshii aqoonyahanka caanka ah H. Hein oo uu soo ururiyay intii uu ku jiray safarkiisa uu ku sameeyenayay Koonfur Areebia, Cadan iyo Sheekh Cusmaan.
The Jabarti have settled in the entire coast area around the horn of East Africa from Ras Hafun till the equator. They can be divided into two stems: the Digil and the Hawiye. Their language constitutes a dialect of Somali and the materials (including original texts, their translations and a vocabulary) stem from the famous ethnograph and Arabist W. Hein, who collected them during his trip to South Arabia in Aden and Schech-Osman.
