Abstract: The author deepens the links between Arabic and Somali cultures in order to investigate about the presence of Arabic influence in Somali poetry. After an introduction on Muslim learning and education, the Sufis and their poems in Arabic, the author examines the characteristics of Somali poetry that - according to his opinion - show no sign of Arabic influences and he explains the reasons under this observation.
Qoraagu wuxuu falanqaynayaa xiriirka ka dhexeeya dhaqanka Carabta iyo midka Soomaalida, si loo ogaado saamaynta dhaqanka carbeed uu ku yeeshay maansada Soomaaliyeed. Kaddib markii uu si fiican u falanqeeyay maasada suufiyada Soomaaliyeed lagu curiyay af carbeedka, iyo dabeecadaha u gaarka ah maansada Soomaaliyeed, waxaa quraagu ka gungaaray in uu waayay raad muujinaya saamaynta maansada carbeed ay ku yeelatay midda Soomaaliyeed.
