Abstract: In this contribution, the author provides information on the literary culture of Somali people: the oral literature, the role of poetry and the poet, the link between poetry and politics, classical poetic genres and modern ones; the process of hybridization of oral literature by the means of technology; the introduction of an official Somali writing, the transcription of oral literature and the development of written literature in its pure form.
Qoraagu wuxuu halkan si guud uga hadlayaa dhaqanka suugaaneed ee Soomaalida: suugaanta aan qornayn, kaalinta maansada iyo maansayahanka, xiriirka mansada iyo siyaasadda, maansadii hore iyo hab maansadeedka cusub; isbeddelka ku socota suugaanta aan qornayn iyadoo la adeegsanayao tegnaloojiyada cusub; kaddib markii af Soomaaliga loo yeelay far rasmi ah, suugaantii aan qornayn ayaa la qoray, ugu dambaynti kobaca suugaan qoran.
In questo contributo, l'autore fornisce un quadro della cultura letteraria dei somali: la letteratura orale, il ruolo della poesia e della figura del poeta, il legame tra poesia e politica, la poesia classica e nuovi generi moderni; il processo di ibridazione della letteratura orale tramite l'uso della tecnologia; l'introduzione di un'ortografia ufficiale per il somalo, la trascrizione della letteratura orale e infine lo sviluppo di una letteratura scritta nella sua forma pura.
