Abstract: There has long been evidence that the Galla occupied parts of Somaliland before the Somali. This paper that before the Somali they were stationed in parts of the former British Protectorate and traces their withdrawal under pressure from the expanding Somali communities in Northern Somalia.
Maqaalkani wuxuu muujinayaa in, Soomaalida ka hore, Galluhu ay ku sugnaayeen meelo ka mid ah degaanka Somaliland, kaddibna markii ay Soomaalida woqooyi qaarkood ay billaabeen in dhanka koonfureed u soo hayaamaan ayaa ayaa Gallaga laga eryay degaamadaas.
Da tempo è stato provato che una volta i Galla occuparono zone del territorio ora somalo. Il presente articolo mostra che, prima dei Somali, essi stanziavano in alcuni punti dell'ex Protettorato britannico e ne ricostruisce l'allontanamento sotto la spinta dell'espansione dei gruppi somali nella Somalia settentrionale.
