Abstract: This paper analyzes "hybrid verbs" in Somali, following Andrzejewski (1969), who used this expression to indicate what has been regarded by some authors as two separate word classes: adjectives and combinations of adjectives with the strong verb "yahay" (to be). The article describes this class of verbs from a syntact, morphological and semantic point of view and compares them with other Cushitic languages systems.
Maqaalkaani wuxuu baarayaa nooc faleed oo ka tirsan Af-soomaaliga, oo horey Andrzejewski (1969) ugu bixiyay "haybrid verbs" "fal-sifo". Falalkaas waxaa, horay qorayaal qaarkood ay ka dhigaayeen laba shay oo kala duwan: sifo iyo fal ahaansho. Maqaalkani wuxuu falakan kaga hadlayaa xagga weereynta, sarfaha iyo micnaha, isagooo isu barbardhigayo Af-soomaaliga iyo afafka kale ee Kushitigga.
Questo documento analizza i verbi "ibridi" in somalo, seguendo Andrzejewski (1969), che utilizzò l'espressione "ibrido" per indicare ciò che alcuni autori avevano considerato come due classi di parole distinte: aggettivi e combinazioni di aggettivi con il verbo forte "yahay" (essere). L'articolo descrive questa classe di verbi da un punto di vista sintattico, morfologico e semantico e li confronta con i sistemi delle altre lingue cuscitiche.
