This paper analyzes "hybrid verbs" in Somali, following Andrzejewski (1969), who used this expression to indicate what has been regarded by some authors as two separate word classes: adjectives and combinations of adjectives with the strong verb "yahay" (to be). The article describes this class of verbs from a syntact, morphological and semantic point of view and compares them with other Cushitic languages systems.it_IT
