Abstract

Wuxuuna ka sheekeynayaa, isagoo ciishoon ayaa wuxuu xusuusinayaa dadaalka loo soo maray gobannimadaas iyo xaaladda markaas lagu suganyahay, ma mid lagu farxa baa?.

Durante i festeggiamenti per l'anniversario dell’indipendenza somala (il 1 luglio del 2010), il poeta rimane molto stupito nel vedere le persone festeggiare. Si sarebbe aspettato, infatti, un'atmosfera completamente diversa, dal momento che in Somalia non esiste né stato né sovranità da più di 20 anni. In questa circostanza, recita allora questa poesia, tentando di parlare nella "lingua" della bandiera somala dimenticata, ricordando la lotta per l’indipendenza e la situazione attuale dei somali.

During the celebration of the anniversary of the Somali Indipendence (2010, 1st July), the poet is surprised at seeing people celebrating. He expected a completely different atmosphere, given that in Somalia both state and sovereignty have been lacking for more than 20 years. In this occasion, he recites this poem, attempting to to speak in the 'tongue' of the uncared for flag, recalling the fight for the indipendence and the current situation of Somalis.
