The Western Indian Ocean tuna fishery from 1980 to 1985: a summary of data collected by coastal states

Abstract

A report of data collected by Mozambique, Seychelles and Somalia, that highlights the impact of the purse seiners on resources and on the artisanal fisheries. As a result of a workshop funded and organised by the FAO/UNDP Indo-Pacific Tuna Programme held at the Seychelles Fishing Authority from 10-24th July 1986 these data have been processed and the statistics reported.
