Abstract: This paper is concerned with a comparison of the focus word 'baa' in standard Somali with a proposed cognate 'pa' in Dirayta (Eastern Cushitic language spoken in Ethiopia).
Maqaalkani wuxuu isu barbardhigayaa diradeeyaha "baa" ee Af-soomaaliga iyo diiradeeyaha "pa" ee afka Dirayta (af ka tirsan Kushitigga Bari oo looga hadlo Itoobiya).
Questo articolo mette a confronto l'indicatore di focus 'baa' del somalo standard con l'indicatore, qui proposto come affine, 'pa' in Dirayta (lingua cuscitica orientale parlata in Etiopia).
