Waxaa duubistaas ka bayb qaatay Aweys Maxamed Waasuge, oo kala shaqaynaayay Giannatasio xagga baarista muusikada soomaaliyeed, isagoo markaas ka ahaa Masraxa Qaranka Soomaaliyeed soosaare 19984-89. ._-_"Asalaam asalaamu caleyka / Asalaa(h) yaa Nuura Mahamad", incipit della qasiido (traslitterazione somala, dialetto maay, dall'arabo, "Pace e salute a te, luminoso Mahamad"); rituale di digri, congregazione della Xuseeniya (in funzione). Modo di esecuzione: voci, tamburo, battito di mani (sacab). Registrazione effettuata da Francesco Giannattasio l'11 febbraio 1985 a Far Xaano, nella regione Shabellada Hoose (Basso Scebeli) nei pressi di Baraawe (Brava), in occasione della siyaaro (commemorazione) alla tomba dello Sheekh Makhtuub Karaama. Partecipa alla registrazione Aweys Maxamed Waasuge, allora regista del Teatro Nazionale Somalo e, dal 1984 al 1989, collaboratore di Giannattasio alla ricerca sulla musica somala._-_"Asalaam asalaamu caleyka / Asalaa(h) yaa Nuura Mahamad", opening words of the 'qasiido' (Somali transliteration, Maay dialect, from Arabic, "Peace and health to you, bright Mahamad"); dhikr ceremony, Xuseeniya congregation. Performance: vocals, drums, clapping (sacab). Recorded by Francesco Giannattasio on February 11th, 1985 in Far Xaano, in Shabellada Hoose region (Lower Shabelle) near Baarawe (Barawa), on the occasion of Sheekh Makhtuub Karaama memorial (siyaaro) at his tomb. In the presence of Aweys Maxamed Waasuge, director of the Somali National Theatre and Giannattasio's collaborator in his research on Somali music from 1984 to 1989.it_IT
