Registrazione effettuata da Francesco Giannattasio il 25 dicembre 1984 a Mogadiscio con il musicista Maclow Nuur, violinista e compositore (collaboratore del cantante Qaasim Hilowle, detto "Schifo"), presso la sua abitazione nel quartiere di Xamarweyne, nel corso di un'intervista sulle influenze arabe e italiane, negli anni '50, sulla musica somala moderna. Partecipa alla registrazione Aweys Maxamed Waasuge, allora regista del Teatro Nazionale Somalo e, dal 1984 al 1989, collaboratore di Giannattasio alla ricerca sulla musica somala._-_[traduzione inglese] “Aa Ruddaati” (Oh my Rudda), Arabic folk song. Execution: male lyrics, violin, tambourine. Recorded by Francesco Giannattasio on December, 25th 1984 in Mogadishu, with the composer and violin player Maclow Nuur (collaborator of the singer Qaasim Hilowle, also named ‘Schifo’), at Giannattasio’s place in the Xamarweyne district, in the occasion of an interview on the influence played by Arabs and Italians in the ‘50s on modern Somali song. The director of the Somali National Theatre Aweys Maxamed Waasuge – who collaborated with Giannattasio in his research on Somali music from 1984 to 1989 – participates in the recording.
