The role of agriculture in the origins and solutions of Somali problems

Abstract

In contrast with the most commonly accredited root causes of Somali problems, this document argues that these food and economic crises and civil war are linked, and that they are intimately associated with an underlying, long-term and fundamental crisis in Somali agriculture.
