Abstract: The Banadir coast is part of the more extended Swahili coast and is mainly known for having hosted the first Arab-Persian settlements. This article tries to highlight the rich cultural history of the Banadir coast and call for deeper researches on this neglected part of the Swahili coast.
Xeebta Banaadir waa qayb ka mid ah xeebta dheer ee Saaxil, waxayna ku caan tahay in ay halkaas degeen muhaajiriintii ugu horreysay ee ahaayeen Carab iyo Iiraaniyiin isku jiraan. Maqaalkaani wuxuu isku dayayaa in uu muujiyo taariikhda iyo dhaqanka Banaadir, wuxuuna hoosta ka xarriiqayaa in loo baahan yahay in si qota dheer loo baaro qaybtaan xeebeed oo badanaa aqoonyahannadu aan aad u danaynin.
La costa del Banadir fa parte della più estesa costa Swahili ed è conosciuta per lo più per aver ospitato i primi insediamenti arabo-persiani. Quest'articolo tenta di sottolineare la ricca storia culturale del Benadir e sostiene la necessità di ricerche più approfondire su questa porzione della costa Swahili maggiormente trascurata dagli studiosi.
