In questo artico, l'autore descrive per sommi capi una parte della storia della scrittura della lingua somala, in particolar modo il processo che ha portato all'adozione dei caratteri latini come grafia ufficiale della lingua.
In this article, the author provides a general overview about the history of Somali as a written language, in particular about the process that led to the adoption of Latin characters as the official script for Somali.
