Image Subject: This photo was taken between May and October 1909 in Aarhus, Denmark, where an Abessinian Village consisting of 65 men, women and children were exhibited in connection with the “Landsudstilling 1909” (“National Exposition 1909”). The photos were used for postcards in different countries these Abessinians visited – this postcard is German with the text reading “Somalidorf” (“Somali Village”). But the sign on the hut says “Skole”, which is Danish for School confirming thar the photo was taken the only time this show visited Aarhus, Denmark – May to October 1909.
Sawirkan waxaa qaaday Aarhus, DanimarK, inta u dhexeysa Mey iyo Oktoobar 1909, wuxuuna muujinayaa tuulo ku taalla Abisiniya oo deggan 65 ruux.
