The article, first published in 1975, concerns the rise of written Somali literature after the introduction of a national orthography for Somali language in 1972. The author affirms that written literature clearly descends from the oral literature and he attempts a classification of the Somali authors into three categories: preservers, transmuters and innovators. The preservers limited themselves to the writing down of oral poems, proverbs and narratives safeguarding the oral heritage. The transmuters use texts and themes derived from oral sources as important ingredients of their works which, instead, belong to genres alien to Somali oral literature, such as novels. Finally, the innovators introduce new elements in poetry, drama and prose: new poems published in newspapers with an ideologic political purpose; plays written entirely in prose form; novels and short stories belonging to realistic fiction.it_IT
Maqaalkan, oo la daabacay markiisi hore 1975, wuxuu ka hadlayaa koboca suugaanta Soomaaliyeed kaddib markii la billaabay in si rasmi ah loo adeegsado farta Af Soomaaliga 1972. Qoraagu wuxuu si cad u muujinayaa in suugaanta Soomaaliyeed ee qoran ay ka soo jeeddo suugaanta aan la qori jirin, wuxuuna qorayaasha Soomaaliyeed u qaybiyay saddex nooc: kuwa muxaafid ah, kuwa isbeddel wada iyo kuwa wax cusub wada. Kuwa hore waxay ku ekaadeen in ay ururiyaan suugaanta Soomaaliyeed ee kala duwan ee aan qornayn. Kuwa labaad, iyagoo ka shidaal qaadanaya dhaqanka iyo suugaantii hore ee aan qornayn, ayaa waxay samaynayaan suugaan cusub, sida sheekooyinka mala'awaalka ah. Kuwa saddexaad waxyaabo cusub ayay ku biiriyeen maansada, masraxiyadda iyo qoraalka tiraabta ah: gabayo cusub oo lagu daabacay wargeysyada oo leh ujeedo fikrad siyaasadeed; riwaayadaha qoran oo gebi ahaanba qaab tiraab ah; noofalada iyo sheekooyin gaagaaban oo ay leeyihiin qaab sheekooyin dhab ah.it_IT
