Abstract

L'autore, che fu per alcuni anni addetto ai servizi zootecnici in Somalia, descrive le caratteristiche dell'azienda dimostrativa zootecnica di Uar Mahàn e le prime fasi della sua attività nel campo del miglioramento del bestiame bovino. Accenna anche ai vari problemi, di utilizzazione dei prodotti pastorali soprattutto, che possono essere studiati.

The author, who was an expert of the Animal Husbandry office in Somalia for some years, describes the characteristics of the demonstrative cattle breeding establishment in War Mahan and first steps of its activity for the improvement of the cattle. He hints also the various problems, especially related to the use of breeding products, that can be studied.
