"Dhikr will Echo from all Corners:" Dada Masiti and the Transmission of Islamic Knowledge

Abstract

The author examines the figure of Dada Masiti, a mystical seeker and poetess originally from Barawa who lived between the 19th and 20th century: she composed above all religious poetry, some excerpts of two of her poems can be found here.

Qoraagu wuxuu ka hadlayaa haweenay wadaad ah oo ku xeeldheer qasiidooyinka oo la oran jiray Daada Maasiti, oo asal ahaanna ka soo jeedda magaalada Barawe, waxayna noolayd inta u dhaxaysa qarniga 19aad iyo midka 20aad.
