Abstract: The author examines African literature in relation to nationalism, the spread of nationalism as a European phenomenon to Africa and considers its influence on African creative writing, focusing on Nuruddin Farah's case.

L'autore esamina la letteratura africana in relazione al nazionalismo, la diffusione del nazionalismo come fenomeno europeo in Africa e considera la sua influenza nella scrittura creativa africana, incentrandosi particolarmente su Nuruddin Farah.
