This paper is a scientific/medical article that reports the case of a male, 32 years of age, with dysuria (painful urination) and abdominal pain, who emigrated three years earlier from Somalia, and was currently employed in a rural Wisconsin community. Several studies and tests on the patient and his consequent treatment with praziquantel are presented. His symptoms are thought to be due to Schistosomiasis (Bilharziasis) which infects the urinary tract or intestines. In the article it is said that this disease can be expected to be seen with increasing frequency in the United States with the continuing influx of immigrants and refugees, as well as the return of travelers and soldiers from endemic areas.it_IT
