Scientific Medicine versus Traditional Medicine? Reflections on three years' Experience in a Somali Village

Abstract

In this paper the author reports his experience during a project among farming villages in the Lower Shabelle region in Somalia, which was part of an educational process in community health for the medical students of the Faculty of Medicine of the Somali National University.

In questo lavoro l'autore riporta la sua esperienza durante un progetto svolto nei villaggi agricoli nella regione del Basso Scebeli in Somalia, inserito all'interno di un processo educativo di salute pubblica destinato agli studenti della Facoltà di Medicina dell'Università Nazionale Somala.
