Abstract: The author presents a study on the role of feminine characters and on the large use of metaphor in two Nuruddin Farah's novels published in 1979 and 1981: "Sweet and Sour Milk" and "Sardines".

L'autrice presenta uno studio sul ruolo dei personaggi femminili e sull'ampio uso della metafora in due romanzi di Nuruddin Farah pubblicati rispettivamente nel 1979 e nel 1981: "Latte Agrodolce" e "Sardine".
