Abstract: This paper deals with minority groups in traditional Somali society, particularly focusing on the farming villagers of the interriver area, as well as on people living as occupational castes in a client status among the majority of 'noble' Somali.

Questo articolo tratta delle minoranze nella società somala tradizionale e si concentra in particolare sugli abitanti delle zone agricole fluviali, nonché sulla popolazione che vive in classi sociali basse in uno stato clientelare fra la maggioranza dei somali 'nobili'.
