Abstract: Detailed textual description of the prosodic systems of the four classical genres of Somali poetry called gabay, jiifto, geeraar, and buraambur. On the basis of detailed statistical analyses, he provides a distinct definition of the meter of each genre.

Descrizione dettagliata dei sistemi prosodici dei quattro generi classici della poesia somala: gabay, jiifto, geeraar e buraambur. Sulla base di precise analisi statistiche, l'autore fornisce una definizione della metrica di ciascun genere.
