A comparative analysis of restrictive and appositive clauses in Cushitic languages

Abstract

In this paper, the authors aim to illustrate and discuss some major discrepancies between restrictive and appositive clauses, in order to propose a structural distinction between these constructions, through an analysis of data taken from Somali and Afar, two Cushitic languages.

In questo lavoro, le autrici intendono illustrare e discutere alcuni importanti discrepanze tra relative restrittive e appositive, al fine di proporre una distinzione strutturale tra queste costruzioni, attraverso un'analisi di dati delle due lingue cuscitiche somalo e afar.
