All'inizio del digri, Sheekh Murjaan si rivolge ai fedeli dicendo: "Vi saluto tutti, ognuno prenda posizione: separatevi per gruppi; quelli al centro devono spostarsi; quelli di Buulo Mareero da una parte, quelli di Jilib dall'altra; le donne nel cerchio centrale". Registrazione effettuata da Francesco Giannattasio l'11 febbraio 1985 a Far Xaano, nella regione Shabellada Hoose (Basso Scebeli) nei pressi di Baraawe (Brava), in occasione della siyaaro (commemorazione) alla tomba dello Sheekh Makhtuub Karaama. Rituale di digri (dhikr) della confraternita (dariiqo) Makhtuubiya (congregazione femminile afferenta alla Qaadiriya). Partecipa alla registrazione Aweys Maxamed Waasuge, allora regista del Teatro Nazionale Somalo e, dal 1984 al 1989, collaboratore di Giannattasio alla ricerca sulla musica somala._-_"Alla wiinow, malaakha ween", opening words of the 'qasiido' (Maay dialect, "The great God, the great master"); dhikr ceremony, Makhtuubiya congregation. At the beginning of the dhikr, Sheekh Murjaan says to the faithfuls: "I greet you all, take a position: divide into groups, those in the middle have to move; those of Buulo Mareero on one side, those of Jilin on the other side; the women in the middle circle". Recorded by Francesco Giannattasio on February 11th, 1985 in Far Xaano, in the Shabellada Hoose region (Lower Shabelle) near Baraawe (Barawa), on the occasion of Sheekh Makhtuub Karaama's memorial (siyaaro) at his tomb.
